STEWART SCHNECK
as Donald Dulman
It wasn't long before Stewart Schneck realized that he had a gift. "I loved Mel Brooks' works: The Producers, Blazing Saddles. . . And when I started repeating the films, people laughed. So I said, 'I can do this."' And do it he has.
The 54-year-old Livingston, NJ native is an Ithaca College graduate and a William Esper Studio conservatory program alum. He credits Circle Rep for giving him his start, which began when he worked backstage on Lanford Wilson's Fifth of July and Tally's Folly at the late great Circle Rep. Since then he has appeared in numerous theatrical productions, commercials, television programs, and films.
Stew has played roles as diverse as the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz and Rabbi Conrad Singer in A Match Made in Manhattan. He has also appeared on the television programs 30 Rock, Law & Order, Teachers and KINGS, and has filmed commercials for Dick's Sporting Goods, Time Warner Cable, and Maimonides Medical Center. His film credits include American Gangster; How to Seduce Beautiful Women; Fans Anonymous.
Stew is a connoisseur of television and film, and when he is not acting or serving as a life insurance sales executive he is usually found enjoying a movie or television classic. In fact, such a fan of Hollywood's Golden Age is Schneck that he is guaranteed to drop everything he is doing at the sight of Humphrey Bogart's masterpiece, High Sierra.
Stew received the biggest award of his career in 2008 when two of his works were honored at the NY Television Festival. Graduates earned the People's Choice Award, while The Captive snatched the award for Best Drama.
Among the actors Stew has worked with are Judd Hirsh, Liv Ullman, William Hurt, and Jeff Daniels.
